Poems Found by Poet Hound
“Arms and the Boy” by Wilfred Owens, this one’s for the soldiers and their families…
“The Rain Poured Down” by Dan Gerber, makes you wonder the circumstances of his mother’s weeping… What do you think caused her to cry?

Thanks for dropping in, please stop by for another open submissions!

I studied Wilfred Owen (no s) at school. It was a while ago but I still appreciate his work. My favourite poem of his is Futility a poem that talks not only about the futility of putting a corpse into the sunlight as if that might in some way regenerate him but ultimately about the futility of war itself.

Oops, thanks for correcting me on the "s." Thanks also for the poem link!

Thanks for pointing to the beautiful Dan Gerber piece.

I'll be posting in a day or so on your latest questions regarding how to read a poem etc.
