This year, I aim to submit more poems, more often. What are yours? My resolution last year was to finally see a poem published by a literary journal and I made it! However, I didn’t submit poems very often so this year I’m hoping to get more of my poems out there.

Dear Poet Hound, I think my resolution, if it can be called such, is not to lose the spark, so hard to define, that produces a poem or any other possible form of writing. Something happens when a poem takes shape that is made of utter concetration and a kind of magic, I feel surprised of what I can write. This "surprise" is what I want to feel as much as possible.
As for getting published, it's totally another matter, my poems have appeared in more than four hundred magazines I think but I feel the road is endless and new achievements always hard or harder...being at the mercy of often capricious editors ( the more famous, the more capricious...and the more drowned by works). A totally different world from that spark when You write Your poem, maybe That is what only counts.
I want to be more consistent with submitting work as well. 2009 was my first time getting published on some smaller online publications, and it would be great to get my work out there even more.
I have also started a 365 poetry project. Writing a poem a day can be potentially frustrating, but writing a little something everyday feels good. I suppose it helps that I've been pretty lenient with when I write/post the poems.
And I guess my last poetic resolution is to hopefully to get a chapbook published. I've been writing and editing some poems for a book in the past few months and just getting everything together. I'm hoping to have it ready by some time in the middle of the year.
Assuming laziness and gross negligence don't get the better of me.
