Today’s post is delayed because I am waiting to hear from whoever answers e-mail at Robert W. Service’s webpage as to whether I can feature poems from the book Rhymes of a Red Cross Man in their entirety or not.
My deepest apologies, please click in tomorrow for more Poems Found by Poet Hound…
PC: The Robert Service book "Rhymes of a Red Cross Man" is in the public domain and mounted up on Project Gutenberg. Here is the URL:

You most certainly may print any poems in this volume.
Don
Dear Don,
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had to ask one more person because the rights had not expired in Japan and Europe yet and since this blog reaches the world I wanted to be safe. Mr. Service will be featured soon, wish I'd read the comments sooner still.
Sincerely,
Paula
Paula, very glad to hear it. Some of my first exposure to poetry was Robert Service from the radio personality Jean Shepherd (known primarily for "A Christmas Story"). He actually recorded a whole album of Service, which is still available via Smithsonian Folkways here.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff.
Don
Don,
ReplyDeleteYou are a treasure trove of knowledge! Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Paula
Looking forward to your Service post!
ReplyDeletebest,
Don
