I've not been there for ten years. In fact I've not been to Edinburgh for ten years. It's such a trek and it's always full of tourists. Edinburgh is riddled with tiny alleys – we call them 'closes' (pronounced close-ses) – where you can barely walk two abreast. The library is something of a surprise when you stumble on it, very modern and quite out of place when you come out of the dark close. It's not very big but bright and airy.

ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteWish I could go there in person, sounds like a great little find to witness.
