Thank you for highlighting that poem. You might like to note that the cockateil that inspired the piece is still alive and well and currently sitting on top of the door in my office greeting the morning as he does most mornings for an hour or so or until we manage to distract him with something else. Actually I tell a lie, he's now flown down to my wife's lap and wants to talk to the birdies inside her machine but she's shooed him off because she's working.

Yes, I pity myself for not having a book of her poems, and "Spring" definitely makes me want to scold myself some more.
